Thsts also a 2nd gen pictured on their site, not a 3rd gen. 3rd gens are longer and wider.

Everyone who wheels knows that these are substandard due to the length.

Either you don’t wheel or you are close to someone at RCI.

What’s with the constant comparison to marriage? I get that buying aftermarket parts for your truck and marriage are both terrible ideas but it’s a weird combo to keep coming back to.

No, not everyone who disagrees you is an RCI bot or an asshole. Also, what about people who really wheel and would just have to cut a "full-length" slider due to tire size?

I'm starting to wonder if OP is working for an RCI competitor.

We can make conspiracy theories go both ways.

I have put my 2wd in places most won't take a 4wd. I have no affiliation with RCI and don't have a dog in this fight. I went with a local fab guy.

Even if someone running 37” tires on a 3rd gen that had to cut their fenders could still use a full length slider.

Through this thread we found quite a few companies selling 86”,87” and 89.5” long sliders in comparison to RCI’s 77” long sliders.

My sliders area little over 82" and I'm pretty sure I could fit 40" tires before anything touched the slider.. lol

OP, you brought up an interesting observation about this product. And expressed your concerns and that you feel it doesn't meet your requirements. But I fail to see how the company has mislead you in any way. They don't state length or coverage. They sell a product they feel that works for the needs of a typical customer. There is no SAE requirement on how much coverage a rock slider on a 2017 Tacoma DCSB truck has to have. Each company puts out what they feel is best for their customers. I really don't think you need to continue dragging them or the people that are happy with their products through the mud. And just to make this point clear I am no way affiliated with any company that produces aftermarket parts for anything.

So that was the point of this thread, or to convince everyone on TW why RCI is a deceitful company? Did you look at no other sliders first?

Not if the suspension starts to articulate.

We're bouncing between talking about scotch, pencil skirts, and the meaning of deception.

It's a comedy gold mine in that molehill mountain

Also, taking a cutting wheel to a slider that becomes too long for someone cutting up their fenders to run 37” tires won’t be a big deal in comparison to having to try to add length to an inadequate length slider.

I don’t understand why we are going in circles here.

The people deserve to know what they are getting since the companies product description doesn’t provide adequate information.

So, your point was to inform people of slider length or explain why RCI makes "worthless" and "inadequate" products and is "deceitful"? Which one is it?
