My drivers side window sounds like it it about to fall apart when I open or close it. I took the door panel off and can see a lot of wear on the sprocket segment that raises and lowers the window. Has anyone had this replaced or replaced it themselves?

I had a similar issue with my 99 model drivers electric window. It was easy change the regulator motor assembly. It was actually one of the easier window regulator assemblies that I've changed.

Yes, A-1 auto has what you need. You could also grab one from a junk yard but then you might come across the same problem later on down the road.

Well, I got a replacement regulator, got the old one out no problem, however.... When I went to put the new one in I found that the connector was different! So the easy fix is just to make up a connector and go on from there. OEM has a red and blue wires, replacement is red and green. I am assuming (always dangerous) that the red wires should be mated. A1 shows what look like pigtails with different style connectors on either end so that tells me that the motor configurations can vary.

Your answer gave me my answer in a round about way. I'm going to strip the wires, jumper them and try the switch. Don't know why I didn't think about it yesterday. Probably to PO'd about the connectors not matching.
