    1 was a firefighter & is now limited to where he can work. Ended up having to go do warehouse work & threw his career in the trash.
    The other is a mechanic so work doesn't matter but he just dislikes them. He has several neck tats too that he does like. His whole hair area is covered in tats & he likes that. Just not his hands & they're covered except his palms.

    We have a policy:
    No neck, face, hand or offensive tattoos.
    I don't know of any fire dept that allows hand tats except for wedding ring style tats.

    Yes & Paramedic.
    Vary from one department to another but the vast majority are along those lines. Some don't allow any tattoos exposed so people have to wear those arm sock looking sleeve deals.

    After a 6 year hiatus from the needle, decided to start my back. About 30 hours in, need one more session to add in color to the mouth, eyes, and flowers. Sadly I moved out of the state I started it in, so I’ll have to plan a vacation back to California and have it finished.

    a friend of mine is a fire fighter and he has both arms (to wrist) and his chest. All able to be covered if need be.
