I have the Tekton. Its been great for the price and quality made tool. There are many rave reviews of it on youtube. Toqued just about every bolt on my truck with it and non have come off.

 

I have been eyeing that one. My HF one bit the dust and I need to pick up a new one. That one isn’t much more expensive

 

I also have the HF Pittsburgh one but the tekton is beeferer and seems to be made a lot better in my opinion.

 

I saw that Tekton one and it's pretty inexpensive. Saw a lot of folks at Lowrangeoffroad and Good Vibes use it on their own trucks.

 

I have had my tekton for a couple of years now and it has held up extremely well for the price.

 

You can always use the German torque spec....gudentite.

For real though. If you don't want to pay for the Snap-On just get one at Harbor Freight.

I'm kind of interested now. I think I'll get our QC guy to test my Harbor Freight one and see how far off it is.

Thanks Tyler. I know torque wrenches have to to be calibrated every so often, just like precision measuring tools. Curious as well, to how far the HF is off.

 

You should really ride in the truck with me sometime... I think you'd find our taste in music very similar.

Sounds like my wife. She's not a fan of "loud" music even if the volume is turned down low... if that makes sense. I'm a fan of some of the old stuff my dad introduced me to as a kid like AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Ozzy, and others but I also like listening to music where the words are almost indiscernible like you said. Lol.

My high school history teacher opened my eyes to Pantera. What a great band. I want to say "Walk" was the first song I heard of theirs. Mouth For War is a great song as well.

 

Pantera makes me want to smash someone's face in! ha ha!

 

Same. I find myself listening to some rappers ironically to get a laugh, but end up enjoying it. Lol. Then when I'm welding in the garage, I'll have classical music going. Makes no sense. I'm a weird dude.

 

I'm the same way. My roots are metal, but I listen to some country and newer stuff.

 

I mean, if you're in to killing and dismembering goats at a concert, I'd say you would truly enjoy it.
