I bought a 2005 Access cab from guy that had a 2000 Tacoma 4x4 with 900 miles on it. What do you think it's worth?

Lots of work, dried out rubber and seals, fluids gummed up, moisture in crank case and all the diff, trans cases. 2 cylinders were also exposed to moisture as valves were open. Fuel system is probably gummed too.

In aviation I've run across this on several aircraft. At this point you have to evaluate whether you part out the aircraft or go through a major overhaul. A car/truck while not as critical will need some work. Its not just as easy as changing the battery and adding fuel.

I'm sorry for not getting back to this post. It's a 2000 Tacoma with "900" original miles. Always garaged. I lost the pictures I had of it but it was in pristine condition. The owner wanted $20,000 8 years ago.

Could probably get considerably more than $20k for it these days with the right buyer. I got my 2004 4x4 TRD 5spd v6 in 2016 with 24,500 original miles on it. In stock condition with the TRD supercharger, looked like it came out of a time capsule from 2004 (definitely doesn't look like that anymore lol).
Dealer sold it to me for a little under $20k (more with taxes and fees). With 900 miles I bet they can ask $25k easily. Especially if it's a double cab 4x4 TRD.

Problem with that few miles though is like someone above posted, there might be a lot of issues with rubber seals and mounts, gummed up fuel system, etc. since it was rarely ever driven. I didn't run into too many issues like that with mine but with 24,500 miles on it, it at least got driven somewhat. With only 900 miles in 20 years that truck barely saw 50 miles a year on average, probably sat for several of those years.

Be curious to see photos of it when you get a chance
