I wanted to do something about the exciters in my access cab and maintain some rear speaker.
Having a pair of Jl tweeters left over from another project, I tied into the ceiling wires at the black plug on the drivers side A pillar, ran some wires under the door sill and behind the back seat to the tweeters which I stuck to the rear window with some two sided tape. 20191019_140634.jpg
Note: this is temporary as the sliding window will not go past the speaker on the left but as an experiment it sounds pretty good certainly better than the exciters. Just a matter of finding a good mounting spot.
I was also considering a pair of 3" speakers mounted in the panel between the two back seats which would provide a little more frequency range and yes, I know there are holes for speakers in the rear doors.

Exciters in a vehicle? Never heard of anyone doing that before. What are they coupled to? They're in the ceiling? Trying to get that mobile Atmos action?

Toyota put them under the head liner to vibrate the roof panel in the access cab as rear speakers, an idea that failed.
