    Besides a HAM radio antenna. What else could I hook up to a NMO mount?

    This is about the Meso 3rd brake light with NMO mount..

    Also, should I cover the NMO mount if I'm not using it?

    HAM, GMRS or CB. Though with the MESO light I’d opt for HAM or GMRS.

    cell service boosters can be used also if you go to remote places.

    I’d cover it with a NMO cover. Can get one on Amazon for cheap, just to keep rain off of it, otherwise it seals to the brake light housing with a gasket.
