I plan on getting Kings front and rear and maybe an inch, 1.5 at most lift. Should I go for 17 and a little less rubber or 16 and more rubber? I want that Cadillac feel. I've already turned enough corners at fast speeds I want a cush ride as I'm boppin along the path to the mall and back. And off road eventually.

I ran those tires on my JK for many miles. They don't make a lot of road noise (typical truck tire noise). And I got many miles of use from them on / off road (and in snow / ice). I would suggest skipping the "E's" and just get a set of "C's. They do make a "B" in that size tire (8 ply). But they are hard to find.

I just ordered a new set of C-range duratracs, same size 265/70/17... got my new rims wednesday, and thursday.. they look awesome.. i fit them up to the truck without tires last night when i was prepping the truck for the new rims/tires (removing 1.25"spacers). looking like I'm going to use the extended lug nut I got for the spacers until I buy some black coated lugs... method wheels require 60degree cone lug nuts (which spacers had)...

265/75/16 Duratracs have a very aggressive foot print, but are relatively quiet, considering. I'm very content with my C load, but you can get them in an E load if you'd like.

Wish they came in a 255/80/16

I have a few co-workers that have them, and use the e-loads for plowing and swear by them as a great tire in winter. this was a requirement for me, as I can't just call in "snowed in" to work.. no matter the weather i have to get into work if at all possible.. prisons dont shut down for weather, only staffing, and being a senior staff member, as well as having a short drive to work.. I better make it in... these should serve me well for an offroad tire, and for an all season/mud tire.. I do believe they have them classified as an MT...

Good that you went with the C's. I think your really going to like them. Stay diligent with tire rotations and they will last a long time. I "sold" my last set (to a friend) with over 80,000 miles on them. He ran them for 2 more years. (I was doing 5 tire rotations). The Duratrecs can be rotated to "any" position because they are non-directional.

Same here. 5 minute drive to work, 6 minutes in a snow storm...I have no excuse.

I sold off my dedicated winter tires that came with the truck, since the Duratracs did just as well. Now I don't have to switch over tires twice a year.

Going this route, good to see that a 2 ish inch lift does not make 265/75/16 or 265/70/17 wheels look small. Thanks for posting.

they do rub a bit on the passenger side mud flap, but thats easy enough to fix, unbolt, cut, and add it back on... if I want...
