It's as much about where you buy as what you buy. If you ordered online then you're going to find cashing in on the warranty is not worth it.

I bought two of them in the same size. Starting their 4th season in a dual battery configuration. Still going strong.

I didn't buy a Northstar thinking I would have to cash in on the warranty. I am expecting to have use of these things way beyond their 4 year warranty period.

Last Friday I thought I was going to have to come in here and confess that my 9 year old Toyota True Start battery took a shit on me because the trickle charger was indicating a no-charge. Nope. The charger itself, a Battery Tender I bought from Costco last year, was what took a shit! Battery is still 100%. Charger's going back and I luckily have an older Battery Tender doing the job in the interim.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
batteries last a long ass time if you keep the topped up with a trickle charger. ive been half tempted to hardwire a solar one in that i can just plug in and sit on the dash when its parked for a while

I've seen a couple of those solar setups around here-not a bad idea for someone who doesn't have access to house current.

I had an interstate battery in mine for 12 years. According to the date it was anyway. Replaced with another for $150. Cranks over every time in the coldest of weather. 5 year warranty as well.

According to what I've read that's pretty amazing, I thought my 9 year old battery was. Did the OP ever post what he wound up getting here? Too lazy to look:anonymous:

I was skeptical. But - the guys at interstate battery when replacing me told me that. It did though - just all of a sudden go flat. Wouldn't even turn over. Kind of amazing in itself. Needless to say - it sold me on another one.

Same one I bought back in Feb. 2023. It was $10 cheaper then. Go figure. Inflation.

I also have a 90 Mustang 350 hp and I can never understand how come my Tacoma gets more respect Just got a 99 Jeep TJ that I rebuilt, and painted in the garage
You cant go wrong with Everstart/Walmart battery. 1/3 less than most and made by Johnson Controls,. I bet Walmart told them they better be good because we dont have the resources to replace these things all the time. I have two and am going for another soon. I just took a Diehard out of my Jeep that went six years

There are only about 3-4 battery manufactures in the entire country, who ever sells them uses their own brand name. I have a NAPA branded one in my 2011 it's 10 years old.

Not in Tucson they don't. Heat kills them, we are lucky to get three or four years here.
