F'ing Crackheads

Had to pay the Seattle crackhead tax last night or this morning. Had my tool roll full (set up with all the tools I use all the time) of JH Williams tools taken out of my truck. Easily $600+.

I'm relatively sure it was one of the people who drive around and try door handles and then if its open they ransack the vehicle. I had just used my toolroll and threw it in the back (it was out of site, but if you opened the door you could see it) instead of putting in the back in tool chest in the back.

I thought the truck would have locked even if I had forgotten to lock it? Does anyone know the scenario where the truck doesn't auto lock after X amount of time? I looked in the settings in the radio and it looks like there is a setting there for autolocking when you're driving it, but nothing I could find for autolocking when you walk away from the vehicle.

In the meantime I think I'll just wire my truck to explode to catch em.

 

My 07 will only autolock if you unlock it and don't open a door in like 30 seconds. Otherwise it won't lock itself. Sucks to get stuff stolen. Locks hardly keep an honest person honest anymore... I hate tweakers and thieves in general. Don't they have something better to do, like an actual JOB? I just got $750 stolen off my debit card and the bank could only get $350 back.
