Then don’t read about here. Congrats on being informed. :jerkoff:

She deserves the least of what she got. Pretty sure the bus thing is nation wide. Also if it was at night, then the bus is even more obvious due to its lights. Lived in tons of places and can’t think of one where it’s legal to pass a stopped school bus.

There is a video floating around of some maniac passing a stopped school bus on the sidewalk....

    They eventually caught the POS.

Sadly, as with a lot of disasters, these tragedies are right under your nose but never get seen until it's too late.

You misunderstand my response; it’s a horrific thing, and the first few responses are: a picture of a guy saying “fuck em,” another guy saying “Serra who?,” and a third with a picture of a Tacoma hit by a train, which seems to be a different shitty accident involving a Tacoma. The OP only gave a hyperlink to start. Again, I’m not sure what we’re doing here.

    A few.
My question is, was the tacoma a 2018/19 model with the TSS system? If not would it have prevented this or if so why didnt it activate?

When I was in 7th grade, we were getting off of the school bus and 2 elderly women came out of the funeral home on the other side of the street. The bus had on its flashing lights and there were still kids getting off of the bus. The ladies were on the opposite side trying to cross in front of the bus. As one stepped out from between 2 parked cars, a car traveling at a high rate of speed hit her.
She went through the air and hit the back of a parked station wagon. She was upright and her back was to the station wagon when she hit it. She folded in half backwards as the back window exploded from her upper body going through it, while her lower body caved in the door. She bounced back and landed on the ground. I was stunned for a minute and went over to help her. What I saw still haunts me to this day. Her shoes were exactly as they were when she was hit, in the exact same spot as if she slipped them off. She was lying between 2 parked cars, folded in half backwards with bones sticking out of her skin everywhere. She died instantly. All of this was because some idiot was in a hurry and didn’t feel like stopping for the bus. He also didn’t feel like stopping afterwards and to my knowledge, was never caught.

"The four children were crossing the highway to board their school bus about 7:15 a.m. when prosecutors say Shepherd blew by a stopped school bus."

Lots of blame here to go around, but that school system needs to be punished. No way in hell i'd let my first grader cross a highway to get on the bus.

i bought one of my cars second hand from a guy fleeing the country because he hit a homeless person who was crossing the street in the middle of the night in miami. (he had multiple cars and this wasnt the car in the accident) Got a great deal on the car.

So why is this even being posted/discussed in 3rd generation forum? Becuase some idiot was driving a taco? I see enough horrible shit on the news everyday, I want to read about Tacomas in here, not innocent kids getting killed, however old the story is...wtf

Exactly why I posted my response above. There is a law stating that you can’t pass a school bus with its red lights flashing (in either direction) on an undivided highway. People take for granted that everyone is going to follow the law. You still need to look both ways before crossing the street.
