They're vinyl. So just about any protectant might help.

I did the redlinegoods.com shift boot, e brake boot, and console lid in their standard black leather. The shift boot is very nice. The others are not great.

I’ve got a leather shift boot and ebrake boot, how hard are they to put on? There’s staples I have to take out, still trying to figure it out.

I'm just soooo happy I didn't get Leather seats this time around. Cold as fuck in the winter and hot as fuck in the summer!

Sorry, a little off topic rant.....

Just in case, I attached the instructions that I have. It is for all the pieces on the MT or AT.

I just used spray contact cement for the shift boot and console cover. No staples:

The glue on instructions for shift boot were spot on and easy as it could be. Definitely do the taping. I would have ruined the part without that. The console cover was way to finicky, didn't fit well, and was a PITA with the extra height foam. If anyone does the console cover, grab different foam of at least double the density.

I ordered the optional bracket for the e brake boot. It was way too ductile compared to the stiff OEM wire. I removed the OEM e brake boot a couple times when messing with mods. It always came off easy and snapped back in positively.

I don't know if it would have been fun to cut out the stock wire and glue it in or what. Regardless, they should have used something better. That said, it stays in place once you mess with it enough.
