Also is the install similar on 2nd gens as 3rd gens? Was planning on following the youtube video done by autocustoms on a third gen.

Yes, plus patience. Drop your spare for some extra room down there. I ended up jacking the truck up higher so I could sit upright under it. My back was tapped out after trying to contort to reach the top of that bracket

Its doable just a bit of a pain. And like Jason said drop the spare and jack the truck up. Not sure how tall you are but give yourself enough space. And as always keep safety a priority don't work under the truck if it's not seated properly on your Jack Stands.

Having a hard time removing the bottom brake line from the hard line on drivers side. The bolt seems to be all the way out but keeps spinning. Tried prying it but it’s still in there pretty tight
edit: after hammering with a vice grip we got it out but the bottom of the bolt was flared out so now we can’t get the new brake line over it

So this metal line that connects the brake line to the caliper is what we’re having trouble with. The end of the threading is flared so the brake line won’t even go over into the threading.

I know it's too late now but I'm fairly sure you can probably get a replacement at a local auto parts store like auto zone or O'Reilly or pep boys tomorrow. Plug up the line so you don't empty out your brake fluid.

Yeah, we had grabbed one but we have to cut it ourselves.

Update: Finished front end, took about 8ish hours for two of us to do with breaks in-between. Main problem we had was the stripping/flare of the hard line bolt that connects to the calipers. Had to buy a new one from oreillys and cut and bend it to shape. Going to finish rear tomorrow, bleed brakes, and get an alignment. Will update with pics tomorrow when finished.

Ended up not running spacers in the rear so i’m less likely to get pulled over for tires sticking past the fender from a cop behind me. Still pokes at 285/70/17 on a 4.5 backspacing wheel.
Tire is rubbing at full lock, any suggestions on how to cut/heat gun the fender out of the way?

Looks nice man. And probably just a box cutter blade to the corners of the fender flare.

    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Wait till alignment is completed and then you may have to trim the bottom of the fender a little.

We ended up cutting the bottom of the fender and the entire cone shaped rain guard.

Have a pretty bad sqeaking when accelerating. Greased up my u joints and it went away. Plan on changing out all three along with adding a driveshaft spacer and maybe a cb drop kit. Was looking at the street taco ones (I think he used to be beefed tacos?) but the 3-4 week lead time is making me wanna look for someone selling theirs first. Anyone have recommendations on what u joints to go with?
