If you put a 3" exhaust on a na 2.7 it will cut the bottom end out bad!

@dirtdigginjoe is turbo, and i am thinking about the 2.5" TRD catback, but i am n/a. I will probably wait to get it fitted till i go forced induction for the very reason you stated.. im worried about low end losses with the slightly larger piping

a 1/2" increase in piping diameter before the muffler makes such a negligible impact it's not worth getting into. Your backpressure is coming from your cat, then muffler.
The specific Magnaflow is 2.5" from cat to muffler, then 3" back.

Are the gains larger with a Shanghai spinny boi? Of course.
I had a 2.5" catback Magnaflow previously when I was N/A, and saw no loss in bottom end until I went with larger tires.

Not to mention @BassAckwards is a PreRunner, saving him weight already...and he's a 2nd gen, which is way less of a turd than the 3rd gen 2.7's.

I don't, but I'll be sure to grab a video this weeknd of interior and exterior sound. I'm still on the factory midpipe, but the turbo does quiet an exhaust down a bit.

I don't find it loud or raspy at all. It has a nice deep tone. I'll run outside and get a quick cold start video in a few minutes.

Got a cold start video yesterday morning. I'll get a GoPro video of it in motion maybe later today or tomorrow. Had to do my brakes yesterday, as they started squeaking on Fri lol.
