There's a bunch of threads about what did you do to your 1st/2nd/3rd gen or T4R/FJ and things that you've created etc... But sometimes the things we do don't fit in any of those categories yet they still count!

So why not a place to share whatever? I did a short search and didn't find anything like this so feel free to correct me.

Meanwhile, here's how I made today count...

I acquired the lettering many years ago when they were removed from my station and were going to be trashed.

A few signs that I've gotten over the years finally got their own spot in the garage.

A little of this and a little of that.
    Nice!
Maybe the Garage/Workshop thread would have been a good place, but IDK.

Today I had lunch with my daughter that’s home from college for the first time since she started in early August. She rode with me in my 2011 Tacoma because I had just washed her 2013 Tacoma. :D

So today.. I stopped at the FD to get my annual flu shot and one of the guys was working on a personal vehicle in one of the bays, which we allow, since it's a volunteer FD and we have the space for such things.

Anyways, as I am offering my assistance, I noticed the truck in the next bay has a low tire. This particular truck has valve stem caps that have red LEDs that flash when the PSI drops 5-10 PSI and when I got the gauge out.. the 100 PSI tire was down to 40 PSI!

This particular truck carries 2300 gallons of water so a tire failure could have been super duper ugly.

After determining that there were no leaks from foreign objects and the likely culprit was the pass through valve stem cap, the tire was aired back up and a plan was put in place to check the tire for the next few days to see if the problem still exists.

After checking the other 57 tires on all the other trucks, I was able to convince the Chief to invest in valve stem caps for all the other trucks that flash a red LED when the pressure drops 5-10 PSI so a quick visual check should be easy on the 9 trucks we operate.

I got up and went to work. One more day closer to retirement!

In the evening my mother and I went to dinner at a Japanese Sushi House. It is always a treat hanging out with my Mom!

Nice!! I stopped by my mom's house today and dropped off a FD Supporter shirt... She likes to brag about her son the firefighter!

That's funny. My Ex got me into sushi also. I had always said "never will I eat raw fish!" Well, I tried it and was hooked!
