    On one of my ladder stands and one of my Boy's I bent my own shooting rest made of 1" EMT and covered it with aeroflex. Then lag to the side of tree with 3" lag bolts. Dad didn't want this set up on his stand.

    When you figure out the sleep thing, please, I beg you, let me know.

    Fires, earthquakes, and over 90° temperatures at the end of October. When it does decide to rain no one knows how to drive, the water doesn’t seem to know where to go so the streets get flooded. I’ve been to other states where it’s raining and snowing and you all just continue on with life. WTH, here it’s like doomsday. :angrygirl:

    I’m sure I’m missing other joys.

    Don’t get me wrong, California has been good to me but I’m looking forward to moving out of here.

    It's been near 90° up here and 10-15° warmer down the hill and only a few days before November !!!! .This time of year we have a wind event called "Santa Ana's " and are very strong NNE 50-80mph winds

    These winds are so strong that fires have started below High voltage transmission towers . This is the reason why power companies are now cutting power to areas of high winds / high fire danger . This lowers the risk of fires and yes it is an inconvenience and the new normal . Until Power companies can protect their high voltage lines from strong winds and arcing . There's nothing they can do and news reports say this may take 10 plus years to resolve


    I'm born and raised in Calif and have lived in California 55 of my 58 years here
