Just got a new to me, of 2014 Tacoma 2d 2wd 2.7l auto, with 71k miles on it. It was CPO from my local toyota dealer.

Not near as fast as my old car, but its a good little, basic no frills truck.

I do have some questions about it though!

What is this little black thing? The truck has an antenna in the front so it isnt that.... dont know what the little black bump is.

Is this a factory switch? Im guessing not... as the manual says thats where the power window switch WOULD be if equiped.... which its not. I flipped it a bunch of times and couldnt tell that anything happened anywhere.

Also there seems to be some sort of beep, which happens at a somewhat random interval inside the cab, if in reverse. Was this a factory option/backup alarm on the base/work truck models? Or is this also another aftermarket addition?

Lastly, the truck SEEMS to have bluetooth, the options are there in the infotainment screen, just greyed out. And if I press the phone button on top right corner of the system, it says "waiting for bluetooth" on the screen and it is discoverable on my phone. But when I try to pair it says failed with invalid pin on my phone. Ive tried resetting to factory default settings, holding the volume key to reset it, and every menu/option and just cant seem to figure it out. I cannot follow the manual directions as it is greyed out.

Any idea on any or all these would be appreciated! thanks guys! looking forward to being a tacoma owner for a long long time.

If the truck has satellite radio then the bump is for that. If not and this was a work truck might have been a gps related antenna.
The “switch” is not factory, might been for aftermarket lights.
Not familiar enough with 2014 to answer the Bluetooth question.

Thanks! appreciate the input! I dont have a satilite radio option on the infotainment so must be something else! Might just hop up there and take the screws out and see whats under there.......
