This Tacoma is my first Toyota and I am very happy, wish I'd bought one sooner. I will definitely look at more Toyotas in the future, but really it depends how the rest of my life plays out and what category I'm shopping. E.g. if I need a full-size pickup, I would probably get a Silverado because there are too many things I don't like about the Tundra. When I eventually sell the Corvette, I might get a Supra or newer Camaro. Or I might end up in a Highlander, Lexus GS/Camry, or maybe even a Prius *gasp*... I'm nearly 50 and for the very first time I am seriously thinking about retirement.

This is my 1st Tacoma and I am hoping to get 15 years out of it (4 1/2 so far) and then buy another one...or a 4Runner and have that one last me until I die:cheers:

    1. ‘87 Wagonvan camper conversion that was stripped and back to cargo dust when it came to me in Flushing, Queens

    2. ‘91 Previa N/A that I got for $1 after the seller fried the fusable link in the driveway by switching the jumper cables up. Oops. It was going to be $500.

    3. ‘95 Previa SC from my friend’s brother in law. Never drove and ran as sweetly as my $1 truck.

[3.1. Was ready to go last week, cash in hand for a ‘93 Previa 2wd NA with aftermarket rims etc. (not my style) in the Bronx. Title still had lien printed on it and I could not trust the bank paperwork he had with it.]

[3.2. My buddy offered his Previa two days ago for $500. Needs flywheel.]

    4. The Tacoma I came home with yesterday.
    ——————————————————————-
Clearly I’m a Previa fan. Amazing engineering. 10’ dimensional lumber? No problem. 4x8 sheets? No problem. 300,000 miles? No problem. Camping? Kids? Christmas trees? 7 people? My double bass? No problem. Parking in tight spaces? No problem. Accessory driveshaft? Problem. Oh well.

Always wanted a first gen MR2.

I have personally owned three toyotas. A 1989 toyota supra was given to me by my uncle when I turned 16 and I sold it to purchase a 2000 4runner that I drove for 10 years. I now drive a 2017 Tacoma. We just bought my wife a rav4 so I guess I have owned 4 toyotas. I am not sure if I will ever own another brand of vehicle again. Between my 4runner and taco I purchased a f150 that both the engine and transmission failed at 70k miles. Warranty replaced both and then I traded it in on my taco. Toyota for life!

Had a 94 Truck, but it was killed by a semi in 2008. I immediately went Tacoma shopping when I got home. Bought my 2008 the following weekend, and it still drives like it did the day I drove it off the lot. When it dies, I'm buying another...

The list of what I have owned and still own

    1986 - Toyota 4WD pickup std cab
    1990 - Toyota Corolla
    1993 - Toyota 2WD pickup std cab
    1995 - Toyota Camry
2001 - Toyota Tacoma 4WD Access Cab TRD OR, still own 343,xxx miles and still going strong
2009 - Toyota Sienna, still own wife's car 201,xxx miles and still going
2017 - Toyota Camry, daughter's car but in my name
2018 - Toyota Tacoma TRD OR DCSB V6 AT, 19,700 miles, the '01 is my daily driver

I have had a few Toyota's over the years, all of them with the exception of the 2017 and '18 ran well over 100,000 miles each with no problems which is probably the biggest reason I have stayed with them for so long.
