I been doing some re search into this Shudders between shifts in my Tacoma 09. I'm glad to know that I am not the only one going thru this. I try a few thing already! like putting those Leaf Helpers which did not help. I am trying the DR Tranny and hopefully this will help. I have 132k on my taco and it has never had a trany flush, I know! this should have been done a long time a go. If this DR Trany doesn't work I suppose taking it to get the tranny flush will be the next step. I spoke to a Trans Shop and they said that they have to check to see if even doing a flush would be good for the Taco. Since it has been to many miles with out having a Trans flush done.

I’d not recommend FLUSHING the trans.
Especially not before dropping the pan and cleaning the magnets, the pan and changing the filter.
Doing a FLUSH before you do this may cause you a lot of new problems.


I suggest you visit the 2nd Gen section and ask there.
We have many knowledgeable members that can recommend things to check or do first.
