So I was up in the mountains on Wednesday going over and through some crazy stuff with a smile on my face the whole day (these trucks are awesome), then I heard the hiss and did some inspecting and realized it's coming from the gas tank when the truck is on. I've researched and heard all the jokes about snakes in the truck and I've heard about the noise the fuel pump makes when the truck's been sitting in the garage for a while. But I've had this truck for more than two years and this is the first I've ever heard it. I'm wondering if I ran over something that damaged the bottom of the tank, but upon inspection, it looks perfectly fine, except for a few scratches that could have come from running over a bush or something. But if I press my hand on the round circle on the bottom of the gas tank the hissing noise changes pitch. There's no codes (no dash lights are on) and the truck seems to be performing the same as before. Anybody run into this before?

Probably just the fuel pump being louder than normal because it's hot.

If theres not a CEL you're probably good. The ECM keeps a close eye on emissions, purge vent etc.

Ok thanks I’ll keep an eye on things and see if anything changes over the next week. Just a bit of an annoyance at this point.
