What do you set it at for that 24-48 hrs? 60psi? I sometimes quick carb for a party or an IPA, but it never seems to work for me. I'm currently debating what to do with my Belgian Dubbel: Keg or bottle. It's crashing right now to be ready to do either. I'm thinking maybe i'll bottle half and keg half in one of my 2.5g kegs. I got a lot of beer shuffling to do this weekend!

What setup you thinking of buying?

Nice. Bought to hit up Asylum for some father in law bonding time, he's been bugging me for weeks. I've never been so I figured I'd try it out.

30 psi. If the beer has been cold crashed and is already cold, 24-36 hrs will do it. If kegged warm, 48 hrs will get it in the ball park.

Interesting...good to know. I usually don't chill below about 50-60 in my fermentation before tossing it in a keg and putting it in the kegerator, because I have a bunch of other cellared/bulk aging beer in there as well and it would suck down the power.

Most likely just go ahead and jump in with a 5 gallon kegging system. Probably a couple 5 gallon kegs and maybe a 2.5 to split between keg and bottles. I’m already doing BIAB so I’d probably go with a 15 gallon kettle and a propane burner.

I really like the all-in-one systems such as the Grainfather and the Anvil Foundry but I don’t like being limited by grain bill even if I might brew a high gravity beer just a couple times a year.

My wife, the kid and I met some friends at a brewery up the road in Gastonia, NC called Cavendish Brewing. It’s our second time there and they make some tasty brews.

First off I had their Oktoberfest and the wife had their Kölsch.

I also had a NEIPA that wasn’t opaque. It was hazy but it did not look like orange juice. It was quite good also.

BIAB is the way to go for simplicity, I don't miss my multiple vessels, and my mediocre beer quality hasn't suffered. If you have 240 power available, I love my high gravity eBIAB system. Only downside is 5 gallons is as small as I can make, and I can't do super high gravity stuff (despite the company name haha), but it's rare I make a really big imperial stout or anything. 8-9% is doable.

Hit up Asylum, very mediocre, some slight off flavors but whatever.

Father in law wanted to try another so he asked to go to the Bruery. Not my choice, I swear @-mike- we were headed to phantom and he detoured us. Decent flight but I really wish they could put out a decent hazy...they just always dissapoint. Cue @uhplifted :fistbump: FIL really liked Or Xata, the horchata blonde

Getting ready for the Black Tuesday party tonight!

Their hazy “releases” have been pretty awful.

Solid. Their pumpkin ones are usually always quite drinkable.
