That is exactly what I was saying. The number of oil threads in m/c forums about shear breakdown and reduced viscosity for shared gearbox oil is hilarious.

This is mine with almost 113k on the frame:
    IMG_20190406_145013.jpg

I did have a motor swap at 83k. Regular M1 15w-50 or Rotella T6. No need for anything boutique. :D

I go with recommended 6k intervals. No trackdays for me.

I can't tell the difference between the R6 and R1, but the crossplane R1s sound killer.

Nice duc, shame bout the new motor though...have yet to re ring or anything else on my motor. Last comp/leak test was 240 per hole with no more than 5% leak after sitting for six months... clutches....well, that is another story.

Eh. With the money saved servicing it at home, I could have swapped the motor a few times now and still be ahead. It was running strong right up until it lunched a con rod bearing. The new motor is just as good.

I do like the ease of a dry clutch. Those slippers can wear quick, but they do their job.

I believe both. That motor is a beast.

There's a dyno guy down the road that I keep wanting to visit but don't see the point a this age. Hahaha!

I have been doing the Mobil 1 rebate thing for at least the past 5 or 6 years, getting $12 off makes it very inexpensive.

How could people get upset cuz there's an oil thread every week, "it's not just oil it's liquid engineering" says Castrol, I think. I like seeing lots of oil in my garage with yota filters just cuz it's cool.

O ya I like Pennzoil platinum but gonna try the Toyota oil, it's got interesting additives compared to M1, can't remember where I read it though some oil analysis

I use Mobil 1 0W-20 and change it every 5K along with new (TOYOTA OEM) filter (don't ask, but it's the cheapest)

Still going strong after 3 yrs. Imagine that...
