I would not be doing this on the 6MT because the 5/6 gearing is garbage but with how crazy tall 6th is on the 6AT, I don't see why anyone wouldn't just go for it on 33's or up unless you tow a lot. Having driven an otherwise stock AT with a 4.30 MT pumpkin thrown in, it was like night and day improvement on the highway compared to the one I test drove so IMO the issue with the AT trucks is clearly not enough gear.

A3F53528-19A6-4876-886E-660C372AE5E7.jpg I have the same truck as OP. I put 5.29’s on my truck and I did it as my first mod. Only thing45BE28E4-3AF2-454F-B460-7F7054700D87.jpg on mine is I’m running 285/75/16 BFG KO2’s. No additional weight yet. I am getting 19.8 mpg in town and on the highway, speeds up to 75. At 70 I’m running 2100 RPM’s.

nice looking truck by the way

OP do you only have the stock Fox Pro suspension in the front or do you have a spacer or something else to make it higher? your truck sure make the 285 tires look small.. Nice truck and great information.. Thanks!!
