Purchased my 2008 Tacoma TRD Sport SR5 used in June of 2012. The truck was completely stock and had 59,000 miles.

In mid July of 2013, I debadged the Tacoma and replaced the stock headlights with black ones. I also added LED daytime running lights. I also added black Weather Tech floor mats in December.

Brought the truck to the drag strip for the first time in September of 2013. The truck's drivetrain is still completely stock.

In 2014, I added a K&N drop in panel filter and performed differential breather mod by relocating the diff breather to a higher location in the bed of the truck.

Added a Go Rhino Push Bar.

I also towed a friend's lifted Jeep Wrangler on a double axle trailer. The Jeep's front driveshaft came apart on the highway and went through the floorboard, hitting my friend in the leg and fracturing it.

I added an Airaid Poweraid throttle body spacer and brought the truck back to the drag strip. Between the K&N with TBS, the truck performed slightly better by knocking 2 tenths off my quarter mile time.

On January 4th 2015, I brought my truck to Extreme Performance in Palm City, FL to install Bilstein 5100 shocks, a 1 inch Pro Comp leaf spring block, and BF Goodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires. I left my upper control arms stock and set the front 5100's to 2.5 inches of lift. Between the 2.5 up front and the 1 inch in the rear, the truck sits completely level when measured from center hub to fender. The truck rides great & tracks straight when I let go of the wheel. The technician that installed the lift and tires was very impressed with how the truck rode. He said my setup is the way to go on this truck. This made me very happy to hear. I don't feel that the truck rides much stiffer than stock. The tires are very quiet. I'm very satisfied with the whole setup.
    IMG_5170.jpg
I also decided to remove my Husky Mud Guards to show more of the tires.

Thank You. It's still riding great. I beat it up off road at Citrus WMA a couple of times and nothing broke or fell off  I did just remove the K&N filter and throttle body spacer. I removed the K&N due to it not sealing all the way in one tiny spot on my airbox. I was getting light dust by the silicone seal in the area of the leak. The filter media did a great job filtering though. I wiped the inside of the air box after a dusty off road adventure and many miles, with no dust on my rag. I could have probably received a replacement filter under warranty for the seal but decided just to throw it in the trash and use a regular air filter. I feel no difference in how the truck runs.

Thanks guys. I have since removed the K&N and TB spacer and added Spidertrax wheel spacers. Thinking about a Smittybilt winch and hidden winch mount as my next mods.

truck covers usa roll cover, popnlock remote lock, iron cross running boards, p2 trailer Brake, rear view mirror upgrade with auto dim temp and homelink, yakima rack bars , goodyear wranglers, heated side mirrors with directional signal.
I just got around to looking at your full build page, looks cool.. I see you went to the track, so you removed all the stuff air aid throttle body and k & N ? If so why,,,,do you think the OV tune was better then those two upgrades? Wondering what your truck would do at track with tune ..I think about a magnuson supercharger, but probably more money then I want to spend...that's why i am excited about the ov tune...Also have you tried
    Denso Iridium Spark Plug
    Part #
3421 , was thinking of trying this plug, it is the plug they use with a supercharger,,,,,,,I just put some in my nieces car,, and I feel it made a difference in power and acceleration....thanks again,,,,,Ray.....
