So I went for a drive today and heard a clicking noise from the rear of the truck. After checking off what I thought it might be I narrowed it down to the rear diff. So as one would do I took the 3rd member out to look things over and discovered this.DEFADA93-DDCF-495D-A8F7-A7CFA216D688.jpg F2DBF6A0-3B75-44E8-A1A4-B0B28D8C9F01.jpg EBAE50EB-A3C9-400B-8075-4D46E0FEB3E3.jpg CC4CAB2F-6498-48CD-851D-1662F42EE1C8.jpg From my limited research all I found was ring and pinion gear failures and nothing like what happened to mine. Is this common? Only one of the four things came out. I don’t have a lot of experience with differentials and I’m wondering how one would go about fixing it without replacing the whole 3rd member.

If this pic is correct for a 2nd gen E locker, then this part must be broken.

For an 08 that's a good looking member. Besides that broken part of course

    I can’t help you man.
But I do admire you for actually pulling it a part.
That the kind of job I don’t have confidence in myself to do.
I’ve helped my father pull a part Chevy a few times. But that was back when I was helping.
Not learning.... lol. If you know what I mean?

Hope you get it fixed soon.
