A few weeks ago, i posted a question asking truck owners how they transport multiple bikes in their truck. most answers were using the matt. but i just dont like that solution and i prefer the bikes to be in the bed. so here is my mod.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
A nice simple solution. My only concerns are around the mounting of the unistrut to the front of the bed. Did you use existing factory mounting holes? It looks like the strut is only mounted on the ends.
Also do the fork mounts lock into place or are they able to still slide around? That may be an issue if they can.

Looks the same as my setup. I picked up a 2nd gen Tacoma header bar, new from my local dealer, for 45 bucks. Added a fork mount and lefty adapter that I already had, and grabbed a second mount and 15mm boost thru-axle adapter at work. I ordered a 4 pack of t-nuts from Amazon and whipped it up in about 10 minutes

you can tighten the mounts so they dont move.
the rack is fastened with 5 pre-existing bolts. i reused the bolts that came on the truck. its very strong and meant for real cargo tiedowns.

bikes do not stress it that much.

I’ve used the front rail with 2 rocky mounts bike carriers on my 2005 and 2018 tacomas, it works great
