About the same--planes come, boxes come off; boxes go on, planes go...rinse and repeat.

 

We have what's called "mega dairy farms". In spring and fall when they spread they use 18 wheeler tanker trucks. The liquid waste is dumped into large tanks that are set up by the road. They run large hoses into the fields. Tractors hook the hose and spread it using different methods. Sometimes they just drive into the field and spread. There are some large farms 5 miles away from us and on the day they haul it's not uncommon to see a truck go buy every 5 minutes. This year it's a challenge for them. The fields are wet and corn is still up.

our farmers do the same. big tank trucks drive the field and spread liquid waste. one will finish and go reload as another spreads

Now that answer makes sense. My kid was in the FFA in high school but studied Aquaculture instead of Dairy Production. I suppose she may have known the answer if she had taken the latter.

@Tacoma Mike, there tables set outside of the student union and one of them had the intelligent conversation sign... As I walked by, I had to stop and take the bait. Couldn't resist. Literally, they didn't know what to say.
