Doggie in the RTT update: So Draco did not mind being muffin topped and hoisted into the tent. Snoozin soundly. Now for getting out in the morning...

There was something in the bushes that was seriously freakin him out though. And despite me searching all over to no avail, he got me to start looking that way too. Decided it was best to just go to bed up high and avoid the nonexistent coyote pack...I could deal with those, but I was really hoping he wasn't locking on to a big kitty cat lurking in the darkness

 

Took a trip down to the Swell this weekend to get some fresh air.

For me, there just isn’t anything like college football. I’m going to sit on my couch and drink some single malt scotch while I watch the Utes play on Saturday. Then drink some more while I watch USC and Oregon play. We need a USC loss in the worst way.

Worst part was it was our game to lose. Leading the whole time and then pissed away the victory by playing "play to not lose" defense which is always how we end up losing when we're winning.

 

Playing not to lose almost never works. Being a Ute fan, I’ve seen it many times.

 

Yeah, we always play it in the second half when we are ahead, then spend the entire 4th quarter letting it slip away, then they score with <30 seconds on the clock...every...time.

At least if we just had a totalupheaval, and let them score with a few mins on the clock, we might recover, but 3rd and goal with under a minute left? Guaranteed the opposition is ending up in the end zone.

 

Ugh, Amazon Prime has ruined me. Have a bunch of goodies coming this week for a prioject, and they are taking f o r e v e r to get here.

 

Also got the 6.5 sighted in and cased. Now for its little brother.

 

What the hell kind of shooting range is that?

 

One of the ranges around here has a set of 100 yard rifle lanes like 3 stories underground constructed out of sewer culvert.. Private booths so you can zero, etc and not have to worry about wind drift, etc. Plus each lane is entirely separate so you don't have to eat the muzzle brake of the dude next to you. Range selected runners for the targets, illumination on the hangers, its sweet! Plus open till 10 on the weekdays and midnight on the weekends so plenty of after work time.
