I went with the T4R pro wheels which are 17”, so my choice was mostly easy, but yes, I was considering economy. I still like the look of 16” wheels a lot, so not perfectly happy, but happy enough.

I went from stock 265/75r16 to km3 255/85r16 and mileage went from average about 20-21 to 18-19 depending on traffic. Mostly highway at 40-60 mph. I was at 21-22 before sliders and skids. It all adds up I guess. Traffic seems to have the biggest effect on mileage for me.

I get 11 in town and 15.5 on the highway..

My 2.7 used to average 18 with the 255/85s.. Most of the time, folks putting larger tires on their trucks arent trying to maintain their gas mileage.. You could always just have a set of off road wheels and tires and run stock size around town if youre that concerned

I get about 16-17 mpg with 285's. Mostly highway driving. When i calculate my mpg's I take the number on my trip meter and correct for tire size by multiplying by 1.11. Tires circumference is 11% larger than stock so that should give a more accurate mileage. Doesn't answer your question at all, just a tip because I also refuse to pay to have my speedo recalibrated

So an update on my adventures in bigger tires. i downloaded the Waze app onto my phone, the truck and the phone are either spot on each other or 1 mph apart. not sure how that worked out. a friend suggested that the truck learned from the tire rotation speed, not a good or smart friend, lol. I will try to run the GPS after i fill the tank. oh, one more thing. i finally drove by one of those speed signs and it was also spot on with the trucks speed indicator. im lovin how the truck looks and handles, so just trying to get the biggest bang for my gas buck. thanks again for all the comments and expeiriences shared. it helps!

I have barely been two weeks with my lift so maybe I can't comment yet.. letting tires/suspension break in and not trying to over react but clearly was expecting a hit in mileage when you put on a 3" lift and bigger tires.

Was averaging 19mpg before lift/tires and now getting 15mpg.

13.5 mpg if I really try to get good gas mileage. I don’t even try any more.

    Just getting started...
Yep, not really news. Very first thing I did to my `18 at ~10k miles was switch to 265 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro's. Immediately went from 19-20 down to 15-17 mixed highway/in town.
