Static in radio after a test before installing

Kc hilites lzr to battery. Is there some sort of relay that’ll fix this problem? It started happening after i tested lights next to terminals before install of ditch lights.. as always thanks for help and suggestions

 

I have the exact same problem. I installed my Rigid pods as ditch lights and i get static when the AM/FM radio and lights are on at the same time. But its a non-issue for me cuz I never would be listening to the radio in a situation where I would be using my ditch lights. I only listen to the radio in the morning on my way to work. The rest of the time i usually listen to Spotify on my phone.

 

Just out of curiousity, do you have the stock radio antennae or a shorter one?

 

It isn’t a relay, you need an EMI filter, I believe they do offer them as this has come up before and KC provided their solution. I’ll see if I can dig it up later today.

I’ve got these... don’t know if they’ll help. One is what looks to be a fuse built into the harness the lights came with and the other is an “add a circuit” I went and bought for another project I was about to attempt. I was told the add a circuit is what’s needed to make led bar come on with fog lights simultaneously

 

Did you not use the inline fuse/ harness that came with the lights? You should be using the fuse.... it probably won't help with your static issue but it's there for a reason...

RF Choke on the positive wire;
