The first one is Lake Hodges in Escondido, CA and the second is the San Clemente singletracks in CA.

Nice, figured it was southern Cali. I ride along the San Gabriel foothills. Looked similar. I didn't know San Clemente had MTB trails... are they good?

I really enjoy the ones in San Clemente, very narrow single track trails with lots of challenging areas, that I’m not brave enough to try. I’ve seen a few riders air lifted out of there. You start out up top and the downhills are a blast, but then you have to make the trek back up...

If you use Trailforks a lot of the trails are mapped on there, but just not all of them. I’m still learning what’s out there since it’s a bit out of my way from Escondido. May get more info from Strava.

Sounds like fun. I do have Trailforks, any chance you could post (or DM) a link to the trail info? I'm trying to find new trail to ride. If you want any info on the trails up by me, I'll gladly share as well!

How has the suspension treated you on the Clutch? Looks like a lot of pivots on those linkages

I raced a Mach 6 for about a year. It was a little DH sled! Rode like a cadillac

I haven't had any issues with the pivots at all. It's very similar to VPP from my understanding, which is a proved suspension. Very cush feeling. I got a smoking deal on both bikes and have not been disappointed. I know some people look down on DB but they are slowly making a comeback.

Cool thanks! I'll have to check it out sometime. I have several trail in OC I've been wanted to ride. Again, Let me know if you want any info on the the trails in the San Gabriel foothills. I ride Marshall Canyon most often, and El Prieto/Mt Lowe/JPL/Mt Wilson area sometimes.

I went to a short travel 29er since I like to climb and jump around. The Mach 6 has that super linear suspension which wasn't very fun on long climbs-but it loved rock gardens
