I have a Ruger EC9s for my EDC and wanted a little extra back up. It needed to fit behind the rear seats in my Tacoma as well as in my saddlebags on my bike. I saw the Sub 2000 and its capability to fold over. Since it was available in 9mm, that makes it easy since I have plenty of ammo, both target and Personal Protection.
I will get some foam padding and make a bed to go in my saddlebag, but it does fit.

Nice choice for a carry rifle, it would be my first choice if I wasn't in CA. I've always liked the idea folding rifles, but I haven't had the chance to try one.

Yea, Louisiana is pretty nice when it comes to guns.
Since a vehicle is considered an extension of the home, you can carry a weapon out of sight in your vehicle without a concealed carry permit. Although, I am taking the CC class in three weeks, so I can carry in Wal Mart and Target without any troubles.

They're fun little carbines. Make sure to break it in well and this video is worth checking out.

Great idea. I will get some closed cell foam, cut it to fit my deep hard bag and Sub2000, then Plasti-dip to seal the foam. Keep us up to date in your work.

Its a start. I found some cushion foam at a local craft store. I still have to adhere the foam halves together and some fine trimming. Then I plan on wrapping it in marine grade seat material.

    Thanks. It's a start.
Side note, I took the sub 2000 to the range today. My goodness at the accuracy. I did not have to touch the sights, it was right on straight out of the box.

My Gen 1 is the same. I have done some mods to improve sighting and other things. It’s my truck gun in 9mm plus my surpressed G23. They compliment each other.

Nice. Is that the Magpul foregrip? I am looking at either the foregrip or the handle.
Of course I would have to change my foam pattern.

Update: Finished product. I ended up going with a felt material, the marine vinyl didn't conform like I wanted it to.
