    most valuable piece of information:

    manual gear ratio: 4.3
    auto v6: 3.909

    and the cherry on top of the shit pie is the manuals 1st gear is also lower too. so it's ~22% more "gearing" vs the auto in the lowest gear.


    The ultimate combo would be the v6 auto, plust the gears (front and rear diffs) from the manual. Torque multiplication from the torque converter and higher factory gears from toyotas manual truck.

    Wait a min.....
    Go to junk yard. Find TRD v6 manual, bring home the entire rear locking axle and the front diff...install on my shitty sr5....shit post on tacoworld :transformer:

    I have a manual transmission.

    I dropped a secondary just now. One power log and a streamer. Felt good.

    also I CrossFit. By myself tho

    No one wants a POS whether MT or auto. It will vary from truck to truck. If the truck is clean and you bond with it. It has a solid previous owner etc... clean carfax, no accidents. I bought my 2001 based on a carfax with a deposit without seeing it. Didn’t know if it was auto or MT or what exactly. I knew Toyota dealer took care of it from day 1 and the previous owner flushed the coolant every 30k miles and changed the oil every 5000 miles replaced headlights in 2015 and that he traded it in at the Honda dealer because he needed something larger. A one owner truck for 18 years. etc...

    Just for the record, my wife and daughter drive MT’s, my son and I drive AT’s. And my mom owned MT’s her entire life ... said she didn’t know how to drive an automatic.
