Ok so I took it in today for a smoke test. Turns out the Tank Roll Over Valve is leaking...not only vapor but gas as well... Shop said toyota does not sell the roll over valve separate from the tank and that I would need a new tank.....
Still doing searches on what I can do now..

The valve is on top right? I wouldn't imagine you would spilling a lot of gas out of a leak on top of the tank unless you're driving on bumpy roads w/ a full tank - or possibly by evaporation? Anyway, you could always just drop the tank yourself and see if you can repair it. This might be a JB weld fix if it's on top of the tank and not the bottom.

Fortunately Tacoma tanks aren't that expensive compared to other vehicles. Worse case you could get a salvage yard tank for cheap. I went that route on an expedition I had. Factory was $1200. Salvage yard sold me one for $100. Most of the local pick a part places drill out the tanks to empty the fuel so if you go that route you might have to call around for an actual salvage yard.

I replaced the rollover valve on my 2002. You can get one separate. Same with the gasket for it too.

I need to get some miles in but so far going to say it was a dirty Air flow sensor and MAF. I did not get a good photo of the MAF before I cleaned the AF sensor but you can see how dirty that little guy was. First cleaned the AF sensor and off the back it felt like it had more Pep. Went back and cleaned it again doing the MAF. Topped the tank off and will see how it goes. So far 10 miles and still full tank. Last tank I got 88 miles out of 11.5 gallons of gas. A whopping 7 mpg.

hoping for at least back to 12 mpg and that a good cleaning was all I needed.

Don’t forget to clean this little guy. Good time if with everyone air filter change or even oil change.
