if it's a little pump spray you could creatively use it with an office chair...

What's wrong with buying used wetsuits?

People buy and sell them all the time. They can be washed, you know. Hell, many dive shops rent wetsuits. I bet that will really make you gag :^)

No gagging. More of a plain old "no thank you".

About half of divers I have met claimed that they don't pee in their wetsuits. There's only one person I have ever seen, only one, that upon surfacing after each dive she would drop her fins and gear in the middle of the deck, and make a mad cross-legged dash for the head. Everyone besides that one person is a liar.

(Pee isn't the worst thing a wetsuit goes through, though. It's that sour ocean funk after a suit had been used on a week long trip. Whatever that is, it's rank.)

They make this thing called a hose. Water travels through it and comes out the other end. You can use this end that has water coming out to "hose" off the wetsuit.
Thats how you dont get that funk :notsure:

:gossip: Not every dive location has access to such a marvelous invention, let alone a freshwater supply ample enough to rinse gear.

Not complainin' just sayin'. There are reasons why I wouldnt buy used wetsuits, BCs, or regulators.

    WTF are you diving in?

I've been diving more than 30 years. Never heard of "sour ocean funk". You went on a week long live aboard that doesn't have a hose? Or are you an Indonesian fisherman....?

Stuff with some other black things
With some of the stuff I’ve had to go through in the Gulf and east coast of Mexico, a little piss is not a big deal. Btw, who ever says they have not pissed in the wet suit is lying. Turn it inside out when you get back and “hose” it off. Imagine what a little mild soap could do. No ocean funk.

I was an underwater welder for a good number of years. You piss in a wetsuit, not in a dry suit.

I have dove in crystal clear potable water tanks, clear ocean and nasty shipping ports and the god awful delaware river complete with river squids (condoms floating by) and 3 eyed catfish.

The nastiest water you make sure you are sealed up in a dry suit, duct taped seams at the gloves and your hard hat (mine was a Superlite 27).

The cleaner water you get to go down in a wetsuit, much more comfortable. I've also been a surfer since I was a kid.

Never had an issue with a funky wetsuit. Granted, you leave it wadded up wet for a few days and its going to get ripe. Thats why you take care of your gear.

We always kept some of this stuff for our suits, until we went to drysuits. At home we had a barrel we'd add water and sink the stink, soaked our suits in it while we washed other gear.

No dry suit action for me, but I agree 100% with what you wrote.
