This is a long shot but I’ve always enjoyed the fact that TW is more than just trucks, it is real life situations just as much as it is about our beloved trucks. With that being said, I work at a power plant currently as a millwright. Unfortunately, they are proposing to decommission in 2022. I was curious if there were any other power plant/millwright guys on the forum? I have a few years before it all comes to an end but it’s never to soon to do some looking. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Are you looking to go to another power plant? Lots of factories have millwright jobs. Obviously unionized places will probably be the best paying/benefits, but you will also work back shifts for a while until you build seniority.

I enjoy working in the Generation Industry, just need to find a Combined Cycle Plant somewhere. I don’t doubt that in the next 25-30 years, we will see the coal units be decommissioned due to EPA Regulations. I’ve never worked union and have tried to stay away from it to be honest.
