Go to google. Look up a trd pro and get the VIN. Go to dealer and order

That’s weird. My father always said. “You’re a dumbass you’ll never amount to anything”

Different stores sell it for different prices. Shipping affects the total price as well. You need to google and find a store that sells it and see what they quote.

If you want OEM, there are 2 part numbers.

PT228-35180, but you need to have a TRD Pro VIN to order.

    PT228-35170, anyone can order.

Thanks J-T, I am running into what you say as well. My Tacoma is a 2019 TRD Off Road, and I want the grille that says "TOYOTA" as comes on the TRD Pro. My dealer says I want the -35180 part number for my truck but he cannot supply it to me unless I own a TRD Pro, supply a registration, etc.

What is the difference between the -35180 and the -35170 grille?
    and
If I order a -35170 grille will my truck function the same or differently, such as when the cruise is on, my truck won't back off from a "too close" vehicle in front of me? I hear a sensor is in behind the Toyota manufacturer emblem in the center of the grille, which is called what, here on TW?

    Thanks!

Pretty much the same grille ... the main difference is the 170 doesn’t have the garnish, instead it has an insert that matches the rest of the grill with the open sections. Btw, the base P/N of the 180 grille is the 170 (see pic of my OEM 180 grille below) I purchased a 180 grille but received it damaged so I ended up buying and installing the 170 grille and purchased an OEM garnish and have had 0 issues in the 10 months I’ve been running it.

I have a 2019 TRD Off Road and wanted the Pro grille, with TOYOTA in it instead of the "roundy-ish" Toyota emblem. My dealer said the part number I wanted for my truck is PT228-35180 grill, but they could not sell it to me w/o me giving them a VIN & a copy of my registration showing I owned a PRO. I had the same experience with another dealer. I Googled PT228-35180 grill, found it for $249.52 and ordered it.
