Back lurking in TW after a Tacoma hiatus. In the Broward area. Anything going on around here?

 

Been relatively quiet, ready to head up north for some hunting in a month.

Yes. Quiet indeed. Hopefully get something going sometime soon. Maybe a ride out to Lazy Springs. Homestead Humps was fun a few years back but that area is slowly being closed off. I think they’re gonna finally build homes there. Not sure.

What I’ve done this year so far. (not much except for the mountain trip).

Hurricane Creek Rd in NC near the Tennessee border. 19 degrees and loving it! Beautiful scenery.


Old Highway 105 NC. Bonfire at 1:00pm and 28 degrees. Beautiful as well.


Bonfire at 1:00pm. That’s how nice and cold it was.


Somewhere in the Smokys

NW 41 st and 147 ave in west Miami. Meh.


NW 27 ave and 191 st in Miami Gardens. Mostly there to ride ATV but figured I’d so something with the truck. Hahaha

 

On a beach? Down here? Only beaches I am aware of where you can drive a vehicle on the sand is the small beach off of the Skyway Bridge in Tampa and a few surrounding beaches in that area like Dunedin. Also a place called Pete's Point in near Jacksonville, Fl.

 

Near Boone, NC??

 

About 2 1/2 hours away. I've been to Boone a couple of times. I like it out there.

 

I wouldn't mind hitting some trails soon and my son (4) would be ecstatic over it. He loves going offroading in the golf cart to some of our fishing spots.

 

Sunday, November 24 there's an FJ group heading to Lazy Springs, FL. One them informed me & I just verified again.Family friendly place. I wouldn't go otherwise. The one & only time that I camped overnight, it was there. I've also taken my Polaris Sportsman 570 2Up there. Very nice as far as South Florida goes.

Was talking to a few of my friends the other day about going up to lazy springs next month. Have you ever been?

 

Yes. 3 or 4 times & as I stated I camped overnight there once. The last time was almost 2 years ago. I had an '08 Prerunner at the time. I haven't taken my '15 TRD O/R 4WD yet.

Though I will say it was a beautiful trip. Early March, 2019. 19 degrees & very scenic. Hurricane Creek Trail in North Carolina, about 20 miles south of the Tennessee border.

I found out about it through someone I know from the FJ group. They were at one of those Lazy Springs visits that are pictured on my post. We'll communicate as the date gets closer & we'll plan it out.
