None of the additions to my truck are “mods” because they are all things I “needed”, so they don’t count.

Like those tailgate letters for instance. They help with visibility.

Just about $13,197 and that doesn’t include small little accessories/parts that I had to purchase to install (wiring, security bolts/nuts for all LEDs, custom switches, etc.). Did 98% of my installs so that saved me a ton. Yeah I keep all my receipts and a record of it. Crazy to think I spent all of this and don’t even have long travel. And probably wasted more money changing my mods in between my build and sold used parts for cheaper than what I originally paid for them.

That’s what I said in the beginning too and told myself that I’ll keep my build very simple with my Kings at a leveled lift height, pro rims, tires that don’t rub, basic mods, etc. Then came the bumper which I had to increase my lift, then bigger tires (2x) new rims, and the list just went on and on lol. But I think I’m kinda done now. I’m actually surprised my wife hasn’t murdered me yet

Let’s look at it this way, with a Tacoma these mods are just to unlock the true potential of a truck that started out very capable. So it’s almost not fair to your truck to not modify it.

Or maybe like how many of our significant others do their hair and put makeup on in the morning. I’m just doing my trucks hair and putting makeup on it.

    Im probably $2500 into accessories/mods.

The other day I told my wife that if the new Ford Bronco is as cool as they say it’s going to be I might trade in my truck. She said “Well that’s cool. You better quit buying shit for your truck then.” I laughed. Then she gave me that look where it was just best to leave the room so my kids didn’t have to grow up without a father.

    300 tires (sold old ones)
2600 full skids, sliders and install
    1800 diamondback hd

1200 all speakers, in dash amp, powered sub, wiring, sound deadening
    500 recovery gear and misc
    1000 window Tinting, hood vinyl
Tools are always free, even if expensive.
