Im in the store, I run paper and chemical dept and part of grocery. Your job is probably much more glamorous lol! I been there over 17 years. Was supposed to be temporary...

 

My job isn’t glamorous, trust me, fast pace, heavy lifting, & long hours. I look and smell like a dirt ball when I punch out. But I do love my job. Crazy, I know! I had a friend that had temporary holiday employment in the store and 20 something years later of FT finally quit. Weird how that happens. Lol

 

Well we work equally as hard then. Our store is extremely busy and crazy so I feel and smell probably like you when I get home. My bf works there with me too,we both don't really love it but we're good at it and make too much to start over hahaha. I'm loyal to them though, they've helped me through a lot of things in life so that's why I've stayed so long!

 

I get it, I’ve gone thru some hard times and going to work was my safe haven and saved my sanity! I love my coworkers and I have had great experiences with management and upper management.

 

Yeah, we have some good management and I do work with some good people. Like a big dysfunctional family lol. It would take a lot for me to leave and I've been through some rough management and tough times at stores. But overall things are pretty good, just retail kicks your butt sometimes. I've always wondered about working in the warehouse and other opportunities but there isn't any here...

 

The only downfall with being in the warehouse here is the stupid hours. I punch in at 3:45am (if I’m filling in the office, it’s 2am) and supposed to work 10 hours. It’s never just 10 hours though we have to work until the volume is complete. It’s more commonly 11 or 12 hours.

 

That's how it was when I ran online grocery, I'd start at 4 or 5 and supposed to be off at 2 or 3 but I'd be there sometimes till 5 or 6. It was tough so it burnt me out quick so I only made it a year and half before I transferred areas. Sounds like your always awake and you stay up later than I could! you poor thing, that's a lot of hours!

 

You probably came along after all of this was talked about, I’m off right now recovering from surgery I go back December 26. Lol... when I work I go to bed at 7 PM I would never make it if I didn’t LOL

I mean the company... if I’m not working for them, I’m running into the store to grab stuff and supporting them. They pay me, I give it right back....
