I am thoroughly enjoying watching our third gen’s age. 17 OR MT. First brand new vehicle and now 36K in. I feel like I snatched it up at the perfect time. I’ve done a bunch of conservative mods to keep it a high functioning daily driver but I really can’t wait until it retires until full time toy status. Hell I even have a set of Ray 10’s in the garage waiting for some big ass shoes when I am ready to run big ass E load tires and cut the ish out of everything to make em fit. We shall see if my patients holds out. The future is so exciting! Anyone else in the same boat? Who is waiting to turn their daily driver into their off road dented demon? And show us pics if you already took the plunge!

This picture was last summer. I have Falken Wildpeak tires on her now instead oif the crap Toyota stock tires in this picture. My Falken's and custom rims are coming off in a week and putting the Factory rims and snowtires on Because well old man winter is a comin. Taco1.jpg

Been wanting a Taco since I was in middle school..now that I have one,the amount of mods I want to do are endless..but my wallet says no to the bigger stuff right now ahaha I did just buy a bed cover and the DMM though! Making some strides lol

I bought mine in April, picked up my family and drove it straight into a mud pit. Been on a cross-contintental road trip, up to 28,000 miles now and have abused it all along the way - highlights being moab, engineer pass, Mt Shasta, Mojave Road and various OHV parks and fire service roads along the way. She’s scratched to hell and there’s holes in my skid plates - but hell, it’s only new once!!

Yeah, I am about 4 years and 50k miles in and this truck is still like new, imo

Really glad I made the switch to Toyota.

Also glad I found this forum because I have all these other Tacoma owning members taking the time to post inadvertently steering me in the right direction to keeping my truck running for a very long time.

As parts wear out in the future, I will be upgrading with the intention of wheeling this truck.

    No particular rush though.

    Nice place to be imo.

I’m amazed at how capable these trucks are off-road with zero modifications.

I love my truck, drives just fine even with the larger tires and all the weight. It’s taken me and my Daughter some cool places without issue. 129k miles and still runs like new. I waited about 2 years to modify it, then went a little overboard.
