You can still get crazy good flex with radius arms. Dobinson coils are the go to for sure for good ride but good flex.

I was looking at those and the slinky coils. The OMEs on there now are just ok, but they’ll do for now

Yeah those don’t flex very well. I have dobinsons in the back. Was going to go slinky but at the time they were backordered and more expensive than dobinsons. Stellarbuilt is a dealer close to you.

Even with the new Land Cruiser, I still love my Tacoma very much lol. She’s been stuck in the driveway needing replacement of the u-joints. Thankfully @Gply had a spare laying around, so I’m gonna swap that on this weekend to get her road-worthy again, then rebuild my driveshaft.

Also put the tailgate back on (sorry super prerunner look). With the bumper I got from @Bentrodder and no tailgate, there was a big gap between top of bumper and top of bed floor. The tailgate cleans up the look a lot and also gives me back a bit of utility with the truck.

Not much going on since I've been working like crazy lately. I did swap in some new Morimoto H1 HIDs into my cheapo projectors and they work great. I just need to figure out how to get the high beams to work. I also finally installed my @jberry813 @JLee hybrid bumper with some Rigid pods. I didn't have my light bar at the time, but I have it now and just got the wiring ready. Once I get some free time again, I'll drop the bumper and slap that on too.

Not much going on with the truck since the whole "you know what" started, but I did finally get the truck down to my buddy Ruben at Ruben Clark Auto in Carpinteria, CA for the long-awaited bed cage build. Thing is pure beef! Full DOM steel, triangulated all over, welded onto the frame, and cycled to pull as much travel out of this Total Chaos spring-under setup as possible. Added bonus: its placement allows for perfect storage of gas cans and it has lots of little mounting tabs for lights, etc.

Been awhile since I updated this thread, but not a whole lot going on lately I guess. With the help of (read: he did it all) @TRDrunner my rear wheels are no longer wobbly thanks to some OEM replacement axle shafts I found on craigslist.

I also decided to upgrade the forward lighting. Currently, the front has a cheapo Amazon 20" dual row bar and two yellow cheapo flood pods. In trying to decide what lights to get for the Land Cruiser, I realized I still had this rigid driving beam pod (awesome pattern for zoom zoom in the dark), so I said fuck it and bought a matching one.
    35DE63E9-BB01-4CDE-AFF2-F167E5AC38A6.jpg
Also bought a new 20" dual row, combo beam LED bar from superbrightLEDs. From its stats, it should be much brighter than current bar, and I've heard good things about them. While I was there, I also got a set of flood pods to go on a set of Relentless Fabrication hood hinge ditch light mounts.
    20inchLEDbar.jpg
    FloodCubes.jpg
    05-15ditchlightbrackets_1024x1024.jpg
Thoughts behind the move, I realized that the cheap, not as bright lights, are going to be ok when moving slowly, but if I end up in the desert or dunes in the dark it’ll be better to have some higher quality beams on the Tacoma. Therefore, I’m gonna move the cheapos to the Land Cruiser (plenty bright for slower stuff) and gonna add the top of the line Rigid D2 driving beam LED pods and a solid B-level light bar to the Tacoma.
