I am in the process of maybe buying an 80 series Landcruiser, legendary vehicle, but their 1ZFE engines are known to be weak, and now that they're more than 20 years old if I do get one I am sure it'll have more than a decent amount of miles and the usual wear and tear.
So Ford has announced their new 7.3L engine, which it caters more towards work trucks and fleet vehicles. Meaning they thought of the long hours of it idling and also great torque and Hspr, which I feel would be a good fit for an 80 series. What do yall think of the swap, and how difficult would you think it'd be? Since not only would it be the engine and wiring, but also the new 10spd transmission and since they're not even out yet lol.

Probably be easier to buy a super duty. Take the cab off and put the Landcruiser body on it instead.

A 7.3 liter V8 is going to be a behemoth of an engine. You might have trouble wedging it into the engine bay.

You'd probably be better served with an LS swap.
