What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Looks good! Just did the same with mine a month ago, ordered a set of headlights off eBay and new shrouds... like new

 

I'm going to take them out again tomorrow and put some gasket sealer around the edges

 

Today was busy! Got my Leer 100R installed, and replaced the entune head unit with a Sony XAV AX5000. What a huge improvement over the stock sound! I just installed Kicker CS series component speakers with titanium tweeters last week and the sound was better, but I was not blown away. With this new head unit the improvement is HUGE! One of the reasons I wanted that head unit was the capacitive touch screen (glass screen, like a smart phone or tablet) and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed.

 

Did you opt for the 4.8a USBs on the 2TPAM? Love mine!

 

I did! Totally worth the extra dollars. I usually have an iPad mounted on there when I’m on the trails and it works awesome for that.

 

I’m preparing to do my front passenger wheel bearing tomorrow. Got everything I need and ready to go ...wish me luck!!!

I just did both sides last week. Super easy job! If there are no issues that come up, you should be done within 30 mins. Good luck!!

Did yours start to make a humming sound? It was my passenger side that started humming and sounded terrible when I jacked the truck up and spun the tire. Figured if that one went out the other side would soon follow.

 

I've had to hobble past mine in the carport for the past 2 days, I had to have scar tissue removed and have my knee cap realigned on my right knee (my 4th surgery on it). Surgery was on Friday and I had to go to the ER today because it wouldn't stop bleeding. I may have to look at it just sitting there for a couple more days. Hopefully the 4th surgery works this time.

 

Ordered even more stuff to do a major 45K maintenance list.
