Changed the battery in my 2017 Tacoma. Everything went wrong.

I backed into a tree once and smashed up my bumper lol. Even with the back up camera LOL...

I did it in a parking garage. Admittedly I was listen to my girlfriend tell a 30 minute story and was really trying hard to pay attention to the whole thing.

He submitted no pics of new battery as was requested. He has done no fuse checks even tho it was asked. Tough to help.

This board is normally very very helpful and I get tons of information from it to make improvements and mods to my truck. I just thought this thread got way off track. I was just trying to put myself in the OPs shoes

 

Did this once on a mid 90s Bronco in the middle of the night in a snow storm. Fusible link blew, the truck was fine after I replaced the $15 part and hooked the battery up correctly.

 

I agree with you.

OP had the strength to start a thread with a problem and did get useful replies.

Seems like he didn't get too bent out of shape by some of the "boys will be boys" hijinks.
