I haven’t taken a doe in years . I try and shoot something with at least 6 points . I have an archery tag for either sex a rifle tag for buck and one doe tag for my zone . I do eat venison but not a lot . I’m getting picky in my old age The buck I couldn’t find would have been my biggest .

 

That stinks, theres couple guys down in texas might help you out in the deer hunting and archery thread. Id help if i were closer, can always ask questions

 

My friend took me hunting in NJ .For $139 you get a early archery buck tag ,a bear tag and 9 doe tags

 

We just grind for hamburger and bacon burger so a couple of does is all we need.

I took a conservation/hunting course as a teenager in Colorado. That's my experience hunting minus two trips in Virginia where I didn't get anything hosted by my mom's handyman. I've got experience hunting two-legged prey, but they frown on field dressing and eating them lol.

 

I shot one deer in 93 i think, then hunted couple few times in the late 90's then nothing til i self taught myself into bow hunting, had a lot of mess ups but have killed a lot of deer and elk since then. Still have my deer tag to fill...wife still has hers. I got her into hunting also

 

My wife has been harassing me to start hunting, but I want to anyways. I prefer game meat. She loves that we can hunt and get tons of meat lol. She's also been asking for a large additional freezer for more meat.
