Has anyone used Scotch Guard on their cloth seats when brand new?

If so, did it alter the color or make them feel rough, etc?

If guard is applied right, you will not feel it or see it. I work for pro cleaning/restoration company so i know what im talking about.

The fabric has to be super clean and damp in order for guard to bond properly. Gotta use brush and spread the guard in one direction.

The interior in my 2007 ferd looked like new with 230k km.

Looks pretty good for that mileage indeed. Was it applied when new?

    Thanks for the tips.

I did mine the day after I bought it and same on my previous car (Evo X), no color alteration. Never noticed a difference in seat feeling after. Probably just like with anything make sure you get the right/real stuff

It was almost new, i bought her slightly used. The interior was perfect, so it worked out well.

I am absolutely NOT an expert with the application, that other guy in the thread seemed more knowledgeable with using it.

For my DC I used about half of a can I guess maybe a little less, save the rest to re apply in a year or two
