I mean, does it HAVE to be a Pro?

When I bought my '19, there were TWO DCSB Sport M/Ts on the lot in Halifax and an AC OR M/T. I got mine via dealer transfer, as I wanted Barcelona Red.

Yes, sorry it wouldn't look right if both of our R&D tacomas weren't pro. Also I love my pro so I don't want to downgrade just for the MT.

There's a reason I don't intend to let mine go. Love the truck and from what I've read, the number of '17 cement MT Pros is in the double digits if my research is accurate. Even if it isn't, it's still a rather unique configuration.

Dealership told me I have the only Voodoo Blue Pro MT in Canada, I'm not sure if true or not, but it's definitely possible.

Of all the things one could say about the OVT A/T crowd, that would not come to mind first (present company excepted of course).

i have seen so many reports like this, mostly just saying no Tq and the motor isn't enough for the truck. but i don't agree, because it seems many are not adapting new clutch & throttle technique. i guess when you drive a truck or big displacement motor forever you just don't change. so i'm saying if you rev match and let the clutch out off throttle, this motor will suck and never be enough. so the solution is to drive the motor more car-like and to intentionally spin up the motor a bit so as you let out the clutch there is always bit more there than rev-matched rpm. this motor needs that, and i can't really drive smooth without it unless i'm just lightly cruising. if i'm accelerating or putting down any power, i'm on the throttle through my shifts, which is completely un-truck-like. but i had to learn, and the truck runs amazing when i do it right.

huh? you eliminate the symptom by driving this motor correctly. i'm agreeing that there is not enough power to let the clutch out into rev-matched rpm in most use cases. you need to spin it up. it's not something that needs to be corrected in the motor unless you want to redo the motor itself somehow, like FI or cam work, etc.

95% sure it's AT lol Not that I care that much, there's a whole bunch of Voodoo Pro MT south of the border,s even if I'm the only Canadian one, it's still not unique at all
