What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I was very skeptical when i saw the first photo where you cut the bumper. But i have to admit, its looking pretty cool man!

I don't know the actual name of them but I know for sure you can get them at Lowes. Our local store has them on the fasteners aisle. They're usually in the drawers with other specialty items.

Got tired of crap bouncing around in the bed of the truck so installed a Decked system; couldn't pass it up for $450.

Got these delivered today. Icon 3 leaf aal comes tomorrow. And I got a set of 3rd gen trd sport coils for the front.
I hope this combo works without causing issues for things like brake lines and stock UCAs.

 

Had some self healing PPF installed on my new headlights. Which brings the total invested into these lights to 640 bucks..... retrofit parts, two sets of headlights, plus the PPF install. Ouch.

 

I was only looking at the stage 1. I don't need any RR. Maybe OME is what I should stick with as people around here swear by them.

 

I like the back up camera setup, been trying to figure out what to do with mine since I have a dual swing out bumper and it blocks the camera in the stock location. I tried going to that site and that web address doesn't work. Could it be under a different name?

Those are speed fasteners, U nuts or U clips. Most hardware places will have them or online

Wanted to keep the lenses as fresh as possible for as long as possible. Helps with the resale value too.

 

Changed oil and filter. Knocked a bit of dust out of the replaceable air filter. Looked around, saw nothing amiss. Just how I like it.

 

Can you post the hardware you used. Will be doing the same!

 

Anybody have any experience with the TRQ front hubs. I just installed them on both sides. Did a 4 hr rocky trail run and about 1000 mi on em. Haven't found any issues yet... just wondering if anyone put a ton of miles thru them and if they ever went bad.

 

I did the temp gauge SMD resistor swap out for axial leads resistors. I was having to redo the solder on the SMD's quite often so I opted for the regular resistors. It gets traded in here soon on a 2020 model. Too bad to get the Army Green color you got to spend $10K more. Not gonna happen here.

 

Sure thing. From Lowe’s:

(4) 1/4” x 4” carriage bolts
(4) 1/4” fender washers
(4) 1/4” lock washers
(4) 1/4” nuts
(4) 1/4” Clamping Knobs

Slide the carriage bolts in the Prinsu, then use the fender washer, lock washer, then the nut. Tighten to lock the anchor bolts into place. Measure all of your gaps, install the boards, then tighten down with the Clamping knobs. Good to go.
