Been looking to find a 01-04 4cyl extended cab Tacoma to use as a daily for awhile now. What do you guys think about the price for this one? It's a stealership, but at least it's a Toyota one. I can see a small dent in the front bumper corner. I asked for pictures of the frame it looks to have been coated during the recall or maybe even replaced, but doesn't show on the car fax.

It's a good looking truck but $6500 seems a bit high to me.

Seems a bit much, especially since it has some 175,000 miles. Probably could wait it out and the price should drop.

I have not. I think if this was done at Toyota it would have showed up on the car fax. Also some parts of it still look odd to me.

We put some spray-on bedliner on the rusted frame of my truck after we cleaned it up really good and so far it’s doing great. It’s great because it doesn’t get chipped by gravel and things like that. It does wonders on the skid plate.

IMO. $6500 is not a bad price for that truck. It is in great condition and 176,000 miles is not bad for a tacoma. In louisiana, alot of people pay well over kbb values for Tacomas. A coworker of mine paid $7000 for a 2001 Tacoma Crewcab 4x4 with 286,000 miles on it!

In my opinion that price is a little steep only because its a 2.4L and rwd, its a base at the end of the day no matter how well you clean it up. I think if you got them down about 1k it would be a nice fair deal as they did a little maintenance, detailed it and have to turn a small profit.

FYI i bought my 2000 taco in New England about 8 days ago for a bit less than that private sale. But it was dirty, needed maintenance and will need to make the dreaded trip to the DMV. I believe i stole the truck being a 3.4 prerunner southern car. But end of the day i'm going to be putting in about $1500 to get it running and looking good.
